
How we work
Planning building works can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. We guide you step-by-step, from your initial idea through to construction, making sure you understand exactly what’s happening and why.

Initial Consultation
Start by sending us your contact details, site address and project details. This could be drawings if you have them or a hand prepared sketch. If not simply phone to discuss your project. This will allow us to understand your requirements and aspirations.

Fee Proposal
The preparation of a fee proposal is important as it highlights the work to be carried out and associated fee.
This will ensure that both parties understand what work is to be undertaken and any specific project requirements.

Site Visit & Structural Survey
A detailed site survey will be carried out to determine the type of structure and dimensions. This will include any key elements that may affect the design. This will allow us to detriment the most appropriate solution for the design stage.

Structural Design & Drawings
Following the survey we prepare structural calculations, CAD drawings for building control and your builder. At the initial design stage this may include outline designs for discussion so the preferred option can be established.

Construction Tender
If required we can connect you with contractors that we have work with the past.
During the tender period we can offer tender support for your preferred contractor and attend a precontract site meeting to discuss your project.

Ongoing Technical Support
Our involvement can continue upon award of the building contract to advise your builder and provide technical explanations as needed. We can also carry out targeted site inspections to ensure the design is fully implemented on site and that the contactor has followed the approved structural design.
